History:
This is an old one in my recipe files... I got it from one of my good friends when we
were still in intermediate school, Sherry (Kanda) Agdeppa. This was one of my hubbies
fav'z. I don't make it more then once a year because of the cholesterol factor... LOL!!
We don't have high cholesterol and wanna keep it that way.. But this bugga is sooooo
good! You decide!
2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon lemon rind, grated
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sour cream
3 eggs
Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 - 2 Tablespoon lemon juice
Method:
~ MIx all ingredients together (except for glaze).
~ Pour into greased 10 inch pan.
~ Bake at 325 degrees for 45 - 50 minutes.
~ In small bowl mix powdered sugar & lemon juice until smooth & set aside.
~ Remove cake from pan & glaze immediately
History:
My sister-in-law got this from Kathy Stone. It is really moist and delicious. If its a
dessert and not chocolate I am all over it... I love this one!
~ Sprinkle shoyu & flour over ribs.
~ Mix gently.
~ Heat oil in large pot.
~ Brown ribs with garlic & ginger.
~ Drain fat.
~ Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 45 minutes.
History:
Sweet & Sour spareribs are an island favorite. I like to toss in some pineapple
chunks. Although this recipe doesn't call for any. This is my mother-in-laws
recipe and a favorite at our gatherings...
